Shanghai Auto Show 2017: NIO unveils ES8 electric SUV for Chinese market
Company plans to start delivering the vehicle from next year
Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer NIO has unveiled its ES8 electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) at this year’s Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition in China, the company said in a press release on 19 April. The NIO ES8 is a full-size seven-seater electric SUV. The length of the vehicle is over 196 inches and its wheelbase is over 118 inches. The ES8 has an all-aluminium body and chassis, front and rear motors with electric all-wheel drive, and active air suspension.
