Automaker has started the voice-activated personal assistant services in US, plans to launch it in Europe later this year

The owners of the model year 2016 and 2017 Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the United States will be able to use both Google Assistant on Google Home and Amazon Alexa, according to a press release by Mercedes-Benz R&D North America (MBRDNA) last week. These voice-activated personal assistants will allow Mercedes-Benz owners to interact with their vehicles from home. With these devices, the owners will be able to activate various functions for their vehicles. For example, customers with Google Home can say, “Ok Google, tell Mercedes-Benz to start my car,” and it will remotely start the customer’s car.
