Company hopes to reduce redelivery by using new on-demand delivery method

Yamato Transport, a Japan-based company specializing in door-to-door parcel delivery, is trialing self-driving vehicles to deliver packages to customers, The Japan Times reported last month. According to the report, the company is testing a new on-demand delivery method called ‘Roboneko Yamato’ that allows customers to retrieve parcels at a place and time of their choice. Yamato is collaborating with DeNA for the trial.
