Gentex to expand vehicle-integrated toll payment system

System enables motorist to drive on toll roads in US, Canada and Mexico without using multiple tags

Gentex has expanded the coverage of its vehicle-integrated toll payment system to include toll roads in Canada and Mexico, the US-based supplier said in the press release last week. The system, called Integrated Toll Module (ITM), features a universal toll transponder that can be integrated in new vehicle by automaker. Apart from integrating in vehicle, automakers can use their telematics services for customers’ ITM account registration and payment.
