Reconfirms full-year 2017 financial outlook

Saint-Gobain reported an 8.8% year-over-year (y/y) increase in sales to EUR9.9 billion (USD10.7 billion as on 31 March 2017) in the first quarter ended 31 March 2017, the France-based automotive glazing supplier said in a press release. The company’s sales on constant exchange rates increased 7.6% y/y driven by higher volume and increase in prices. Favorable currency impacts of 0.4% also contributed to growth in sales in the first quarter.
