Mahindra & Mahindra to supply 200 cars for electric taxi project in India
Indian government plans to electrify all vehicles in the country in next 15 years
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) will provide 200 electric cars for India’s first electric taxi project that is scheduled to start operations in Nagpur, Maharashtra (India) on 24 May, reports news website Livemint.com citing India’s road transport and highway minister, Nitin Gadkari. The project will be managed by Nagpur Municipal Corporation. “We wanted to start the project early but there are some problems in setting up charging stations,” said Gadkari.
