Suzuki to invest USD877 million for new production line at Indian plant
Japanese automaker’s plant in Indian state Gujarat started production in February this year
Suzuki Motor, the parent company of the leading Indian automaker Maruti Suzuki, will make an additional investment of JPY100 billion (USD877 million) for setting up a new production line at its manufacturing plant in Hansalpur in Gujarat (India), news site ETAuto reported earlier this week citing Nikkei. The Japanese automaker’s investment in new production line, its third at the Gujarat plant, is expected to increase total annual production capacity of the plant by 200,000 units to 450,000 units.
