SK Telecom forms partnership with NVIDIA to develop autonomous driving technology
To upgrade mobile navigation app to HD format by end-2017
South Korean mobile carrier SK Telecom has formed a strategic partnership with visual computing technology company NVIDIA to develop autonomous driving technology, reports Pulse News. As part of the process, SK Telecom will upgrade its mobile navigation app – T Map – with 14 million users to three-dimensional (3D) high-definition map that is essential to autonomous driving, according to company’s president Park Jung-ho.
