Renault acquires Intel's embedded software activities in France

Acquisition to bring expertise in personalized services and remote, autonomous, real-time updates

Groupe Renault has signed a final agreement on acquisition of Intel’s embedded software research and development (R&D) activity based in Toulouse and Sophia-Antipolis, France, the automaker announced in a press release on 24 May. Intel’s French R&D teams hold established software development expertise complementary to Renault’s and are set to bring valuable experience in areas such as personalized services and remote, autonomous, real-time updates with no outside intervention.
