Swiss company Oerlikon will construct a new surface solutions center in Nagoya, Japan, according to a company press release on 23 May. The decision is a part of Oerlikon’s strategy to cater to the local Japanese automotive industry along with supplying to a prominent new customer, being one of the leading Japanese automotive manufacturers. The facility is scheduled to open in early 2018. The company didn’t share exact investment figure for the new facility, but said it will be low double digit millions of Swiss francs.
