Renesas partners with Great Wall Motor for autonomous driving, EV technology
Collaboration also encompasses hybrid vehicles, communication systems, and infotainment systems
Japanese chipmaker Renesas Electronics is teaming up with Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor to develop technology for self-driving and electric vehicles, reports the Nikkei Asian Review. Engineers from both companies will jointly work at the Chinese automaker's facilities in Hebei Province, developing self-driving technology, motor and battery control mechanisms for electric and hybrid vehicles, communication systems, and information and entertainment systems that make use of on-board monitors.
