Japanese chipmaker Renesas Electronics is teaming up with Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor to develop technology for self-driving and electric vehicles, reports the Nikkei Asian Review. Engineers from both companies will jointly work at the Chinese automaker's facilities in Hebei Province, developing self-driving technology, motor and battery control mechanisms for electric and hybrid vehicles, communication systems, and information and entertainment systems that make use of on-board monitors.
