Borealis to build new automotive polypropylene compounding plant in US
Production to begin in early 2019
Borealis will construct a new automotive polypropylene (PP) compounding plant in Taylorsville, North Carolina (United States), according to a company press release on 24 May. The new plant will specifically cater to its automotive operations. The facility is scheduled to begin operations in early 2019. It will initially produce PP compounds in the Daplen series of PP thermoplastic olefins (TPO) and in the Fibremod range of PP short glass fibre (SGF) reinforced materials.
