Mitsubishi Chemical develops low-cost new carbon fiber composite
The company aims to get the new material included in 10 vehicles by 2020
Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings has developed a new low-cost carbon fiber composite which has the potential to enter automotive mass market in the coming years, according to a report in Nikkei Asian Review on 26 May. The report suggests that the newly developed composite can cost almost half as compared to existing materials used for making automotive components.
