Konica Minolta, Pioneer form JV for OLED lighting business
Companies expect JV to generate JPY25 billion sales in medium term
Japan- based Pioneer and Konica Minolta have established an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) lighting joint venture (JV) named ‘Konica Minolta Pioneer OLED, Inc.’, the two companies said in separate press releases on 1 June. The 50:50 JV is expected to commence operations on 1 July. The JV, capitalized at JPY490 million (USD4.3 million), is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
