u-blox unveils next generation V2X transceiver module
New module is expected to speed up development of connected and automated vehicles
u-blox has launched the VERA-P1 series vehicle-to-everything (V2X) transceiver module for next-generation advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the company said in a press release. The automotive-grade transceiver module is designed to deliver increased radio performance and is fully compliant with Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC), Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments (WAVE) and ETSI ITS G5 for the US and European markets. The module can communicate over a range of up to 1 kilometer (km) line of sight.
