Bosch, TomTom develop HD map for automated driving
Two partners have been collaborating since July 2015
Bosch and TomTom have jointly developed a high-definition (HD) map for automated driving using radar signals, the suppliers said in separate press releases. The high-resolution map integrates ‘radar road signature’, jointly developed by the two partners, for the localization of self-driving vehicles. The radar road signature captures billions of reflections created by radar signals bouncing off objects such as road signs and guard rails.
