Honda aims to launch car with SAE Level 4 autonomy by 2025
Automaker reconfirms plans to launch Level 3 autonomous cars by end of this decade
Honda plans to launch vehicles with SAE Level 4 autonomous driving capability by 2025, the Japanese automaker announced in a press release on 8 June. In Level 4, also termed as ‘high automation’, vehicle can handle all driving tasks by itself without any direct input from driver except in certain conditions such as inclement weather or unusual driving environment when human driver has to take control.
