Hyundai partners with Baidu for car connectivity in China
Plans to invest in ‘big data’ hub in the country
Hyundai has announced a strategic partnership with Chinese Internet firm Baidu to enhance vehicle connectivity in China, the company said in a press release last week. The partnership will enable the South Korean automaker to equip its vehicles in the Chinese market with Baidu’s MapAuto navigation and Duer OS Auto voice recognition services. The two partners will also explore collaboration in jointly developing technologies in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI), connected car and autonomous driving technologies.
