Japanese automaker aims to have commercially viable autonomous driving vehicles on road by 2020

Nissan has filed a series of patent applications on autonomous car technology in India between the months of February and May this year, according to a report by Factor Daily last week. The patent applications are for ‘electronic subsystems’ that will help a car sense road conditions and assist the driver with advanced navigation device and help the car manoeuver obstructions, including sensing vehicles ahead.
