Vedecom plans to deploy self-driving electric cars in the French city of Versailles later this year

France-based Vedecom Tech has selected Israel-based Karamba Security to provide cyber security solutions for its self-driving cars, Karamba said in a press release on 19 June. Vedecom is gearing up to launch fully autonomous car (Level 5 autonomy) for commercial use in certain European cities beginning later this year. Karamba’s Carwall and Autonomous Security software will protect the electronic control units (ECUs) of the self-driving cars against the risk of hacking.
