Bridgestone Americas invests in ClearMotion
Japanese tire-maker intends to leverage ClearMotion’s expertise to develop new solutions for automotive industry
Bridgestone Americas has invested an undisclosed amount in ClearMotion, which specializes in digital motion control systems, the US subsidiary of Japan-based Bridgestone said in a press release on 19 June. The strategic investment will enable the Japanese tire-maker to integrate ClearMotion’s technology in its solutions for automotive industry. “We will be working with ClearMotion not only to advance the future of the digital, connected, autonomous car, but also to leverage our leadership in tire, anti-vibration, and air spring technology in order to deliver unparalleled ride comfort, safety and more advanced mobility solutions,” said Bill Thompson, COO, Bridgestone Americas.
