Daimler’s mytaxi agrees to acquire Romanian rival Clever Taxi
Company paid to pay ‘eight figure’ sum to acquire the Romanian ride-hailing service provider
Daimler’s taxi booking app MyTaxi has agreed to acquire Clever Tech SRL, a Romania-based company that owns a local ride-hailing app Clever Taxi, Business Review reported on 22 June. Founded in 2010 by Mihai Rotaru and Alex Dumitru, Clever Taxi operates in 20 cities in Romania with more than 17,000 drivers and 600,000 users. MyTtaxi will reportedly paid pay an ‘eight figure’ sum to buy Clever Taxi.
