Renault-Nissan plans to launch driverless ride-hailing, ride-sharing services – reports
Expects to begin such service within 10 years
The Renault-Nissan Alliance is planning to launch driverless ride-hailing and ride-sharing services in the coming years, Reuters reported on 22 June. "We think that the big opportunity for us is in automation, electric vehicles and ride-sharing and hailing together," Ogi Redzic, head of Nissan-Renault's Connected Vehicles and Mobility Services, told the news agency in an interview. Redzic hopes to begin self-driving based mobility services based on electric cars, “certainly within 10 years” though unlikely before the end of this decade.
