Electric SUV will have top speed of 150kph and driving range of 300 kilometers
SsangYong Motor and its Indian parent Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) plan to jointly develop a pure-electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) by 2020, Yonhap News Agency reported on 28 June citing the South Korean automaker. The electric SUV will have top speed of 150 kilometers per hour (kph) and range of 300 kilometers on a single charge. It will be produced at SsangYong’s Pyeongtaek plant in South Korea, which has an annual production capacity of 250,000 vehicles. For the new electric SUV, SsangYong will use the same production line at its Pyeongtaek plant that makes Tivoli and Korando C crossovers.
