Knorr-Bremse to pursue acquisition without Haldex support – report
German supplier offers to sell assets among other concessions to get EU approval
Knorr-Bremse will pursue its earlier announced acquisition of Haldex despite withdrawal of support by the Swedish company’s management last week due to delay in getting regulatory approvals, said a Reuters report on 29 June. The Germany-based supplier for commercial vehicles said it was surprised by Haldex’s statement, but it remains firm on its acquisition plan. “The Haldex statement is a surprise. Our view of the planned acquisition is unchanged. We will continue to pursue it,” Knorr-Bremse was quoted as saying on Friday.
