Daimler claims damages from SKF in lawsuit related to 2014 EU competition settlement

SKF maintains the activities sanctioned by the EC have not caused any damage to its business partners

Daimler has filed a lawsuit against SKF related to a settlement the Swedish supplier reached with the European Commission (EC) in 2014 for violation of European competition rules, SKF said in a press release on 4 July. The automaker files the lawsuit with the Landgericht Nürnberg-Fürth, a district court in Bavaria, Germany. The German automaker is seeking damages of EUR59 million (USD67 million) plus interest and reimbursement of costs.
