TomTom, Cisco join forces to develop lane level traffic technology to support autonomous driving
Collaboration to leverage Cisco’s roadside data and TomTom’s traffic fusion technology to create the next generation of traffic information technology
TomTom has joined forces with Cisco to develop ultra-fast lane level traffic technology that will support autonomous driving, the company said in a press release on 6 July. The collaborative research will leverage roadside data captured by Cisco’s sensors, routers and controllers and TomTom’s traffic fusion technology to create the next generation of traffic information technology. It will be supported by Cisco’s Internet of Things (IOT) platform.
