EU launches European Clean Bus deployment Initiative
At least 2,000 zero-emission buses to be deployed in the EU by the end of 2019
The European Union (EU) has launched its ‘Clean Bus deployment Initiative’ with the goal to increase number of low-emission buses operating in the region, according to the European Commission website. Under the initiative, a number of cities, OEMs and transport authorities have signed a ‘Declaration of intent on promoting large-scale deployment of clean, alternatively fuelled buses in Europe.
