Ontario government is coming with new law which will raise minimum hourly wage to USD12 from January 2019 from USD10 currently

Canadian automotive supplier Magna has warned that the proposed changes to Ontario labor law would make doing business in the province ‘nearly impossible’ for the company, Automotive News reported on 21 July. The Ontario state is inviting public response on its ‘Fair Workplaces, Better Job Act’, which has proposed raising minimum wages by 32% to CAD15 (USD12) per hour from 1 January 2019 compared with CAD11.4 (USD10) currently, more paid leaves for employees, stricter scheduling laws and equal pay for full-time and temporary workers.
