BMW confirms electric Mini’s production will start at UK’s Oxford plant in 2019
German automaker expects electrified vehicles to account for between 15 and 25% of sales by 2025
The new battery-electric Mini will go into production at BMW’s Oxford plant in the United Kingdom in 2019, the German automaker announced in a press release on 25 July. The company will produce electric drivetrain for the car at its Dingolfing and Landshut plants in Germany, which will be shipped to the Oxford plant for final assembly.
