Telstra, Cohda conduct vehicle-to-pedestrian technology trial in Australia
Companies successfully tested V2I and V2V technology in the past
Telstra Corporation and Cohda Wireless have successfully conducted trials of vehicle-to-pedestrian (V2P) technology in Australia over a wireless network, Cohda said in a press release on 26 July. The trial showed the vehicles communicating with pedestrians’ and cyclists’ mobile phones providing early warning related to collision detection and alerts through applications (apps) installed on their mobiles.
