First automaker to invest in connected and automated vehicle test facility

Toyota will invest USD5 million in the American Center for Mobility (ACM), which is currently establishing a facility in Ypsilanti in Michigan (the United States) to test connected and automated vehicle (CAV) technologies, the Japanese automaker said in a press release on 31 July. The investment is made by Toyota’s US-based subsidiaries—Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) and Toyota Research Institute (TRI).
