Recall affects 2014 model year Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks

General Motors (GM) is recalling around 800,000 pick-up trucks globally to fix problem in their power steering, according to documents made public by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on Friday (4 August). The recall affected about 690,000 vehicles in the United States, 80,000 in Canada and about 25,000 vehicles in other markets, and includes 2014 model year Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks, which could temporarily loss power steering due to the defect.
