To use the funds to strengthen balance sheet as rapid scaling of production takes place

US-based electric vehicle (EV) maker Tesla has announced that it is planning to offer USD1.5 billion in aggregate principal amount of its senior notes due 2025, the company announced in a press release on 7 August.
