Didi Chuxing invests in car-sharing company Careem
Chinese ride-sharing firm expanding presence in global ride-sharing industry through strategic investment in mobility companies
Didi Chuxing has formed a strategic partnership with Careem, a United Arab Emirate (UAE)-based ride-sharing company, the Chinese firm said in a press release last week. Under the partnership, Didi Chuxing invested an undisclosed amount in Careem to help it further expand its operations in the Middle-East and North Africa (MENA). The two partners also agreed to share knowledge in the fields of intelligent transportation technology, product development and operations.
