Ford, Deutsche Post DHL unveil jointly produced electric delivery van

Partners agreed to produce battery-electric delivery vehicles in June this year

Ford and Deutsche Post DHL have unveiled their first jointly produced electric delivery van in Cologne, Germany on Wednesday (16 August), according to a press release by Ford. The electric delivery van, called StreetScooter Work XL, is based on a Ford Transit’s chassis equipped with a battery-electric drivetrain and features a body that is designed and built to meet Deutsche Post DHL specifications. The modular battery system of the electric delivery van delivers 30kWh to 90kWh of power and a driving range of 80 kilometers to 200 kilometers.
