Japanese automaker produces new diesel engine at UK plant

Honda will offer its Civic sedan, sold in the European market, with an upgraded 1.6L diesel engine beginning March 2018, the Japanese automaker said in a press release on 16 August. The 1.6L i-DTEC engine delivers 120 PS at 4,000 rpm and torque of 300Nm at 2000 rpm, allowing the Civic sedan to accelerate from start to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in 10.4 seconds.
