Bosch develops ‘Perfectly Keyless’ system that turns smartphone into car key
Technology will allow drivers lock, unlock and start a vehicle without a physical key
Bosch has developed a digital vehicle system called ‘Perfectly Keyless’ that turns smartphones into a car key, the German automotive supplier said in a press release today. The new solution will allow drivers to use their smartphones to unlock the car, ignite the engine and lock the car again. According to Bosch, on-board sensors in vehicle recognize a smartphone as the driver approaches near the vehicle. Once the identification is done, the vehicle doors can be opened without using a physical key. Further, no key is required to start the engine or lock the vehicle at the end of the journey.
