Uber tests autonomous cars in Toronto

Autonomous cars were primarily used to complete mapping in and around the University of Toronto’s campus

Last week, Uber deployed two autonomous cars in Toronto, (Canada), according to a report by CP4. While the test cars, which are modified Volvo XC90 SUVs, were capable of self-driving, the US-based ride-sharing company had human drivers in the vehicles at all times to comply with the local regulations.
