UK government awards USD14.2 million to local councils and bus companies to adopt low emission vehicles
Grant to enable local councils and bus companies to buy 153 low-emission buses
The UK government has awarded GBP11 million (USD14.2 million) under its ‘Low emission bus scheme’ to local councils and bus companies in Bristol, York, Brighton, Surrey, Denbighshire and Wiltshire, according to a press release by the government on 28 August. The grant will enable the local authorities and bus companies to buy 153 low-emission buses.
