JV to begin ride-sharing services in London later this year

Mercedes-Benz Vans has entered a joint-venture (JV) agreement with US-based mobility start-up Via Transportation to launch ride-sharing services in Europe, the van division of Daimler said in a press release on 4 September. The ride-sharing service will use Via’s on-demand shuttle operating systems and German automaker’s vans. The JV will start app-based ride-sharing service in London (United Kingdom) later this year. Later, the company plans to expand the services in other European cities.
