Japanese automaker aims to equip all vehicles sold in Japan and the United States with DCM as standard equipment by 2020

Toyota has developed hybrid navigation and voice recognition functions, as part of its “Connected Strategy”, the automaker said in a press release on 11 September. According to the automaker, the new hybrid navigation function calculates driving routes and location searches in cloud by leveraging database that includes data collected by other vehicles, equipped with Data Communication Modules (DCM), and external data.
