Volkswagen equips 2018 Atlas with advanced driver assistance technologies
New driving assist technologies help SUV achieve five star rating from both NHTSA and IIHS
Volkswagen (VW) has equipped 2018 model year (MY) Atlas sport-utility vehicle (SUV) with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). According to a press release by the German automaker, the 2018 Atlas comes equipped with forward collision warning (FCW), autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian monitoring (front assist), adaptive cruise control (ACC), blind spot monitor with rear traffic alert, lane departure warning, front and rear park distance control with maneuver braking (park pilot), parking steering assistant (park assist), high beam control (light assist) and overhead view camera (Area View).
