BMW to integrate Amazon Alexa voice service in vehicles from 2018

Automaker will initially offer Alexa voice service in vehicles sold in Germany, UK and US

BMW Group plans to start integrating Amazon Alexa voice-controlled personal assistant into all BMW and MINI models from the middle of 2018, the automaker announced in a press release on 27 September. This is expected to enable BMW’s customers to access a variety of entertainment features and connected services while on the move through simple voice interaction. The German automaker will initially offer Alexa voice-controlled services in BMW and MINI sold in Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States.
