Government extends FAME Scheme for the second time

The Indian government has decided to extend its electric vehicle (EV) subsidy scheme called Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles (FAME) by six months until March 2018 or until the second phase of the scheme is launched, whichever is earlier, reports The Economic Times, citing a notification from the country’s Department of Heavy Industries.
