GM acquires Lidar specialist Strobe

Strobe team to join Cruise Automation, which is spearheading autonomous driving at US automaker

General Motors (GM) has acquired Strobe, a California (United States)-based start-up specializing in Lidar technology, the automaker said in a press release on 9 October. The automaker did not disclose the financial details of the acquisition. As part of the deal, Strobe’s team will joins GM’s Cruise Automation team, which is spearheading autonomous driving at the automaker.
