Automaker to suspend production at US plant amid low demand

General Motors (GM) and its suppliers will make a combined investment of USD500 million in Argentina through 2019, Reuters reported last week citing the US automaker. The investment will help GM ready its Alvear plant for production of a Chevrolet model from 2020. While GM will invest USD300 million, its supplier base will make total investment of USD200 million.
