GENIVI Alliance unveils ‘Vehicle Domain Interaction Strategy’

Cross-domain bridging is necessary to ensure information and data generated in one domain is displayed and managed in other domain, says the alliance

The GENIVI Alliance has introduced a ‘Vehicle Domain Interaction Strategy aimed at developing open standard interfaces and codes that will bridge the multiple in-vehicle software domains, the alliance said in a press release last week. The strategy is mainly based on a key market trend of system on a chip (SOC) consolidation that has created the need to bridge automotive software domains in areas such as infotainment, safety and consumer electronics.
