Continental secures orders to supply software and modules to Renault Nissan Mitsubishi Alliance – report
Alliance plans to equip 90% of vehicles produced with new connected systems
In a major push to connectivity, Nissan, along with its strategic partners Renault and Mitsubishi Motors, is planning to equip new vehicles as well as those on the road with cloud-based services such as vehicle remote control, virtual personal assistant communications, Wi-Fi, autonomous drive management and the ability to remotely update vehicle features, Automotive News reported on Monday. The services offered by the alliance will rely on software and module sourced from Continental, the report said.
