UK finalizes site for new EV battery hub

NMDF will focus on developing battery technology, including chemistry, electrodes, cell designs, modules and pack levels

UK has finalized a site in the central England to establish a new battery manufacturing development facility, Automotive News Europe reported on 30 November. The National Battery Manufacturing Development Facility (NMDF), as it will be called, will come up in Warwickshire in the West Midlands and will benefit from GBP80 million (USD107 million) of investment to develop the process required to produce latest battery technology.
